Posting guidelines - please read this
« on: September 28, 2011, 02:15:57 PM »
These guidelines exist to make sure that we avoid problems and keep the forum on topic and problem-free. Please take a moment to read through them carefully and thank you in advance for helping to keep the forum a friendly, interesting place for folks to be.

Search before you post - before you decide to start a new topic please remember that some questions come up over and over again. You'd be surprised at the range of questions that have already been asked. Before you post, use the Search facility to see if your question has already been asked, and answered.

Be polite and respect other posters - please try to remain polite and considerate to others at all times. Don't start a flame war. If you think someone is getting out of hand please try to resolve it with a private message rather than flaming in the forums. If you're unable to resolve it, please bring it to the attention of the moderators.

Don't spam - don't spam the forums with off-topic posts. Don't post just to bump up your post count, the post count is just a bit of fun. Posting unnecessary messages just to bump up your count is irritating to others. People respect quality over quantity. Also don't post messages in all caps - this is the online equivalent of shouting and marks your post as either a newbie or someone who wants to be rude.

Stay on-topic - try to stay on topic. If you find that a thread has moved away from the original topic, show some respect for the original poster and move the discussion to a new thread.

What you cannot post - any material that is copyrighted and is not in public domain cannot be posted on the forum. This includes, but is not limited to, serial numbers, methods to crack softwares, warez, hacking stuff, etc. We constantly monitor all posts on the forum and remove any post that violates this rule. Please cooperate with us. Also do not post advertisements in the forum. We intend to keep discussion threads free from messages containing ads. Messages with advertisements will be removed from the forum (terms apply - please contact administrators).

Political propoganda - we don't allow people to use the forums to promote extreme political messages. Controversial topics are suitable for discussion, but people who persistently start posts on the same extreme political topic will be banned from posting, especially if this is the only topic they ever post on.

Clearly label the subject heading of your post - when you post a message, make sure the subject header indicates what the post is actually about. This will make it easier for other members to respond to your question or comment. Please avoid the use of expletives in subject headings, it makes the post and the forum look bad e.g. new event should have a heading: date - location - name of organisation - name of event.

Junior Members - After registration to gain a full access to your profile, you have to post at least 10 posts. After you become a Jr. Member, you are welcome to create a signature and put a link to your own site.

Thank you
